Jotaid now keeps a semantic index of your notes. It runs on your device by default — nothing leaves the machine, it costs nothing, and it is on for everyone including free users. You can point it at a remote model with your own API key instead, from Settings › Agent Behaviors › Semantic Index. Four things are built on it: • Related notes now include semantically close notes, labelled separately from notes you linked yourself, with a marker for near-duplicates. • Search gains a Related section: searching "pricing" also surfaces notes that only ever say "price strategy". • Similar Nodes appear in a node's panel — concepts that read alike but have never appeared in the same note. • Tag suggestions return, as a row of chips under a note's tags. Candidates can only be tags already in your library; nothing is generated, and no model is called. Smart node discovery also picks its candidate notes semantically now, rather than by which notes you touched most recently. Graph and relations. • The graph overview panel reports on the shape of the whole network — echo chambers, sparse connections, isolated and emerging concepts. • The node you are looking at is drawn as a slowly rotating sphere, with light flowing outward along its connections. • Edges stop at the edge of a node circle instead of cutting into it. Canvas. • macOS: drag the handle at a theme's bottom-right corner to change how many columns its cards use; the cards rearrange as you drag. • iOS: tap the handle for − / + buttons, or drag it. • Tidy no longer overwrites a column count you set by hand. • Colour bands inside a theme no longer leave a blank row between them. Capture. • PopClip clipping can open an edit window before saving, with one click back to silent mode. • That window no longer closes — taking your edits with it — when saving fails. • A QuickNote draft restored after a cold start keeps the project it was written in, instead of falling back to the Inbox. Editor. • Putting the cursor on the line below a table no longer turns the table back into source. • Quitting no longer discards an edit you had undone back to the original text.
