# Interface Views

Jotaid gives you three ways to look at the same notes: **Note** to read and write, **Node** to analyse connections, **Theme** to arrange structure. Switch between them anytime — your data is shared, only the vantage point changes.

## Getting There on Each Platform

Both platforms show the same notes, but they navigate very differently. Once you know one, this table bridges the gap:

> There are **no** keyboard shortcuts for switching views on iOS. Note / Node / Theme live in the **left drawer** — tap the hamburger icon. This is the single thing Mac users most often fail to find on iPhone.

## Note Mode

Note mode is the classic view — a scrollable column of your notes, built for speed:

- **Filter** by theme, tag, or node
- **Sort** by created date, modified date, or title
- **Search** to find any note instantly

When a Theme filter is active, the theme title appears at the top as a clickable row.

## Theme Mode

Theme mode makes organising spatial: notes become cards on an infinite board that you arrange by hand.

- **Drag** a card anywhere
- **macOS**: double-click a card to open it; **iOS**: tap to open, long-press for its menu (colour, delete)
- **Colour** cards with sticky-note colours (yellow, pink, blue, green, orange, purple) to encode meaning
- **Zoom and pan** the board to move between clusters

Dragging a card inside a theme's border groups it; you can also adjust that border's width and tidy the whole board in one click — all of which, along with Smart Theme and theme summaries, is covered in [Themes](https://docs.jotaid.com/en/guide/themes).

In a project that needs [Pro](https://docs.jotaid.com/en/guide/pricing) the canvas becomes read-only: you can still zoom, pan and open notes, and your notes stay visible.
