# Plans & Pricing

## Three Ways, One Pro

All three unlock **exactly the same Pro**. No tier grants more or less; they differ only in how you are billed.

## Pricing

Prices come **live from the App Store**, in your region and currency — so what you see in the app is always the current, real price, and this page pins down no numbers.

When prices cannot be fetched (offline, say), Jotaid **shows the options without figures** rather than a number that might be stale.

## Buy Once, Use on Both

Pro is a **Universal purchase**: buy it on the Mac and an iPhone signed into the same Apple ID is unlocked too. There is no second purchase.

## No Trial, Because None Is Needed

Jotaid has no trial period — the free tier is already **unlimited in time and complete in features**: inside the Inbox you get the editor, backlinks, the graph, the matrix, the canvas and sync (see [Free vs Pro](https://docs.jotaid.com/en/guide/pricing)).

Rather than hand you a full version for seven days and take it back, you keep a complete single-project workspace indefinitely, and decide about multiple projects and AI when you need them.

## Managing a Subscription

Subscriptions are managed in **your App Store account**, not inside Jotaid:

- Cancelling, switching plans and checking the next billing date all live under **System Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions**
- After cancelling, Pro runs to the **end of the current period** rather than stopping immediately
- Refunds are handled by Apple at [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com)

Jotaid cannot cancel or refund on your behalf — that is how App Store purchases work throughout, and it also means your payment details never pass through us.

## Restoring a Purchase

Switched devices, or reinstalled the app? Tap **Restore Purchase** on the unlock screen:

- Reactivates Pro on the new device
- Confirms a **grandfathered** unlock — anyone who bought Jotaid before the free tier existed may already have Pro at no cost

Restoring is always safe to tap; with nothing to restore, Jotaid says so plainly instead of leaving a spinner going.
